Kamran Mahmood, Project Manager

Continuing on with our monthly 'Spotlight On' story about a member of our team, this month it's the turn of Project Manager, Kamran Mahmood.

What do you do/job role at Venture 1?

I am the Project Manager for Venture 1 and essentially I am responsible for making sure that the Projects that we deliver to our customers are delivered to the very highest standards and within the constraints of time and budget, making sure that the journey from Project Initiation to Closure is as smooth as possible with any challenges and issues immediately addressed.

What attracted you to working at Venture 1?

I was attracted by the company's Gold Microsoft Partner status and the interesting Projects that were in the pipeline. I was also attracted by the fact that I would have a real level of responsibility and be given the autonomy to manage the Projects how I best see fit.

What sort of things do you do day-to-day at Venture 1?

No two days are the same. However, a typical day may see me leading Project catch-up calls, devising Project Plans, securing resourcing and writing up Project status reports.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Venture 1?

The people and the culture is what makes Venture 1 a great place to work. It is a culture that allows you to grow and challenge yourself and the “people” are always very friendly, approachable and willing to support.

If you could invite any 3 people round for dinner who would it be?

1) - Manny Pacquaio as he is my favourite athlete of all time and I have a huge admiration for all his work outside of the boxing ring, with all his humanitarian efforts and being a “man of the people”.

2) - Mezut Ozil, being an Arsenal fan, the skills, talent and all the off-field charity works that Ozil does and what he stands for, being the “voice of the voiceless”, is again someone who I would love to spend time with.

3) - Imran Khan, not only is this someone who was a fine cricketer and led his nation to the World Cup as Captain, but he is someone who transformed into a political leader and eventually became the Prime Minister of his nation and helped oversee and change things for the betterment of his people. This is truly inspirational and someone who I would have so many questions for.
