Google Home has now been on the shelves for sale in the UK for almost 6 months now. With over 1000 different interactive features, we wanted to share our five coolest things you can do with your Google Home now!
The Speaker Feature
Within Google Home, Chrome browser now has Google Cast built directly into it, which can offer so many possibilities. With this integration Home can be used as a physical speaker (and a good one at that) once connected to your device.
A personal favourite feature of Google Home is the specialist note pages you can create, especially when needing to make a shopping list. Whenever you want to add items to your list, you just say “Ok Google, add _____ to my shopping list” and your chosen item will appear on your list.
I don’t know about you, but the idea of an interactive work calendar sounds like a dream come true! To add something new to your Google calendar just say ‘Hey Google, add event’. Your Home will ask you about the name and time of your event before adding it to your calendar.
Google Home the Sous Chef
Google Home has a huge library of recipes to help you cook new and more exciting dishes! If you say ‘Hey Google, find me a recipe’, Home will reply with both a list of ingredients and step-by-step audio instructions. From desserts, to luxury main courses, Google Home has it all!
No need for a mobile phone
One of Google Home’s newest features enables users to manage their personal mobile phone, texts and calls. By asking Home, “Show me my messages”, Home will show you your unread messages. If you ask, “Do I have any messages?” Google Assistant will actually read your unread messages to you.
What is your favourite Google Home feature?
We’d love to know!
